Its finally over, for now. Chad Johnson appeared in court on Friday and plead ‘no contest’ to his misdemeanor domestic battery charge. This was after he allegedly headbutted now ex-wife Evelyn Lozada.
Chad went in front of the judge in Fort Lauderdale court room and plead ‘no contest’ after he had taken a plea deal earlier in the week and his divorce was finalized on Wednesday.Â
According to the Washington Post, prosecutors told the court that Lozada did not want him to face jail time.
“She did not wish to proceed with the prosecution and certainly did not wish that Mr. Johnson be incarcerated as a result of this incident,â€Â
The plea  deal and ‘no contest’ prohibits Johnson from contacting Lozada in any form which will include, e-mail, text and Twitter. He was sentenced to 1 year of probation and must take counseling.
