A new Whitney Houston hits compilation is on the way. Billboard reports details haven’t been unveiled yet about the upcoming best-of set, but it’s expected to be a career-spanning collection. In addition, the album will feature the original versions of Whitney’s hits. There’s only been one other official Houston best-of collection released in the U.S. — 2000′s “Whitney: The Greatest Hits.” That two-disc set features ballads along with remixes of Houston’s biggest uptempo songs. While there’s no set release date for the new project, the Whitney hits disc is expected to arrive in stores this fall.
Whitney Houston’s daughter is marking her mother’s birthday with a new tattoo. Nineteen-year-old Bobbi Kristina posted a picture on Twitter showing off her new body art that features Whitney’s initials “WH” on her right wrist surrounded by doves and two small crosses.
According to the “New York Daily News” a second arm in the picture sporting the exact same tattoo belongs to Nick Gordon, the young man Houston unofficially adopted and is now rumored to be Bobbi Kristina’s boyfriend.
The pair reportedly got the his-and-her tattoos in Alpharetta, Georgia Wednesday, one day before Whitney’s birthday. In an accompanying Twitter post, Bobbi Kristina wrote, “now your ALWAYS with us mommy (: we love you.” Gordon also tweeted, “Happy Birthday Mom You will be forever missed.”
The owner of the tattoo shop, Inksomia, tells the “Daily News” Bobbi Kristina and Nick were accompanied by the camera crew for their upcoming reality series “Houston Chronicles” when they got the tattoos. He said, “They were happy at times, and sad at others. When you would talk about their mom, they got sad, but we tried to keep their spirits up.” Houston died six months ago on February 11th.
She would have turned 49 on Thursday.
