Engaged to rapper Wiz Khalifa accepted Billboards top honors as Billboard’s Top New Artist. The rapper picked up the award at Sunday night’s Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas.
Wiz also helped pay tribute to late Beastie Boys rapper Adam “MCA” Yauch before Cee Lo Green and the Goodie M.O.B. took the stage to perform the Beasties’ hit “(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (To Party!).”
Wiz said the Beastie Boys “took hip hop to places it had never been before” and said Yauch would never be forgotten. Yauch passed away earlier this month after a battle with cancer. He was 47.
Wiz also shout the love of his life Amber Rose. She tweeted excitedly from the event: ‘My Baby Won!!!!! Yay!!!! #BillboardAwards’
