Young Joc had a few slugs thrown his way as an innocent bystander in Gucci Mane’s series of disses from his Trap God mixtape. In an interview with Vlad TV, Joc assures everyone that there is no beef on his end and that Gucci is just being Gucci.
“Honestly, I don’t even know where it came from. The homie put a record out and he put my name in it. Unlike the average rapper who hears something and then fires back, I didn’t do that” Joc says. The lyrics in question are from Gucci Mane’s “F*ck The World” which features fellow Atlanta native Future. Gucci Mane takes shots at Young Joc and Kandi Burrus’ baby’s father Russell “Block” Spencer. On the song Gucci says:
“I got all eyes on me like Pac did / But I ain’t tryin to go broke like Joc did / I ain’t tryin to fuck my dealer like Block did”
Joc didn’t really get the worst in that line, obviously, which is probably why he didn’t take it seriously. “I didn’t let it bother me,” says Joc, “It’s freedom of speech. He’s definitely garnered enough fans to have his own platform to say whatever the f*ck he wants.” The two have worked several times in the past and given that he knows his financial situation more than anybody, Joc probably had no real reason to debate it.
