50 cent got into a slightly heated discussion with his son’s mother, Shaniqua Tompkins, about how many pairs of shoes their son should have for school. Apparently his son called him and told him that he needed 50 pairs of shoes because another boy at his school “stunted on him” because he actually had 50 pairs of sneakers and his father is only a lawyer.
I could understand why his son would be upset because he probably has to live up to a certain reputation in school being that everyone knows 50 cent is his father. However, 50’s baby mama tries to tell him that she thinks their son only needs 20 pairs of shoes for school (which is still a lot in my opinion). I don’t have kids so I don’t know what’s average in regards to how many pairs of shoes a child should have. What’s your take on the situation? Is 20 too much or not enough?

I agree with both of you, their teaching him to be indeed vein and he defiantly is not focusing about his education because all he is concerned about is keeping up with other little boys by dressing to impress. 20 and 50 pairs of shoes is just plan out ridiculous back in the day when I was in school I only had 2 or 3 pairs of shoes and had to wait until birthday or Christmas to even think about getting another pair. I hate when parents give their kids everything just because they can, what happen to morals and knowing the value of a dollar and not spending it on materialistic things. Oh well stupid is what stupid does.

A little embarrassed, but i have two boys and a girl. They each have about 20 pairs each. So i would think 50cent kids had more. Oh well i know my kids wear out those shoes every year, hope he does too. But seriously 20 is too much, after hearing this i will do better next year.
