Atlanta DJ hires best friend to murder wife and then chooses him to serve as a pallbearer at wife’s funeral. This is not a Lifetime Movie or a nightmarish tale from Dateline but a real life story that happened in Atlanta to one of my home girls. Check out the details below.

My homegirl Tiffany Pugh lost her life days leading up to Thanksgiving in one of the most heinous and cold-blooded crimes Atlanta have seen this year. Tiffany Pugh a wife, mother of two, and wonderful young woman was murdered in a supposed home invasion in her East Point home. The craziest thing is that the murderer was her husband Andre Pugh Sr., better know as DJ Awesome at Atlanta’s Club Oynx. Pugh hired his best friend Adrian Harley to murder his wife while the couple were at home with their young children. To add insult to injury he asked the murderer to serve as a pall bearer at her funeral.

Pugh and Harley were arrested last Saturday (December 6, 2014) by East Point police on charges for Murder, Conspiracy to Commit Murder, and Burglary in the First Degree. The details of the charges can be read here: http://ftpcontent.worldnow.com/wgcl/Pugh_document.pdf

I have known Tiffany since our college days at Clark Atlanta University. We marched in the band together, hung out, and she even contributed a couple of stories to FreddyO.com. She was one of the nicest people you could ever meet. Tiffany was full of positivity, love, passion, and fun. She was a caring mother, devoted wife, and loving friend. We were shocked when we learned of her murder. We found ourselves asking one another,

“Who would want to hurt Tiffany? This has to be a mistake? WHY?”

Tiffany’s husband Andre was the first suspects but his appeals on social media made us feel bad for even considering a grieving husband and father. Pugh announced her death in this very sad message and various mourning comments on his Facebook page,

For a week we knew nothing; it seemed like another unsolved mystery. We attended the funeral at Atlanta’s Elizabeth Baptist Church that was full of flowers and loved ones.

It was shocking news to find out not a week later that Pugh and best friend/pall bearer Harley were picked up by the East Point Police at Club Onyx in connection to the murder of Tiffany Pugh. The below picture shows Tiffany partying with her husband and friend in happier times.

The story is not over; Pugh might be involved in the unsolved murder of DJ Nando (Fernando Williams Barnes) who worked at Onyx and Magic City. Barnes was fatally shot in his driveway on January 7, 2014 after leaving Magic City. People are saying that Pugh might have murdered Barnes to get his spot at Onyx. According to Atlantanightspots:

allegedly the gun found was linked to the death of legendary Onyx Atlanta DJ Nando.

The two DJ’s were known to hate each other, Nando DJ’d Friday night and DJ Awesome DJ’d Saturday night in the local gentleman’s club.

Dj Awesome was going through a divorce with his wife who knew about DJ Awesome being involved with the death of DJ Nando.

Pugh and Harley appeared in court today and got no BOND! Their next court appearance will be on Decemeber 22, 2014 at 9:00 am at Fulton County Courthouse.

This is a hot mess and a loss of such a wonderful woman. Tiffany was a great lady and will be missed. We are praying for the Pugh family and hoping for #JUSTICEforTiffany.
