Beyonce is taking it back to her roots in Houston, Texas. On Bun B’s remix to Beyonce’s “Bow Down/I Been On,” Bey joins Houston’s most famous rappers, including Z-Ro, Scarface, Willie D, Slim Thug and Lil Keke, as well as Bun B himself.
Bun B debuted the remix Friday on Houston’s KBXX 97.9 radio before putting the track on his SoundCloud page. The track retains Bey’s original ending to “Bow Down” with her giving a shout out to the late UGK rapper Pimp C. With all the Houston talent on board, Bun B also decided to pay homage to his late UGK partner. After posting the song, Bun took to Twitter to dedicate the remix to Pimp C.
Just so you know DJ Screw died of a codeine overdose in 2000 and Pimp C died of the same drug in 2007. We can’t wait to hear Bey on the track too!
