Beyonce may be cozying up to her friends in the fashion industry as she gears up to release new music. “Women’s Wear Daily” is reporting that the star has been named an honorary chair for this year’s Met Costume Institute Gala in New York – the event known as fashion’s biggest night. She would be joining the gala’s chief organizer “Vogue” editor Anna Wintour and Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci as a co-chair. The 2013 benefit will celebrate the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s new exhibition called “Punk: Chaos to Couture,” which runs from May 9th to August 14th. While Beyonce will be busy in Europe on her “Mrs. Carter Tour” during the May 6th event, fashion enthusiasts are hoping the reports mean she may make a surprise appearance. Last year, Queen Bey made a splash when she was the last to arrive on the steps of the Met in a sheer Givenchy gown with a dramatic purple-feathered train.

Kelly Rowland says her upcoming collaboration with Beyonce and Michelle Williams won’t be a full-blown Destiny’s Child reunion. In an interview with “Billboard,” Kelly insists that it’s “not a Destiny’s Child track,” it’s simply her song “featuring Beyonce and Michelle.” Regardless of what she wants to call it, the ladies are coming together for a song that will be included on Kelly’s upcoming solo album called “Talk A Good Game.” The last time they reunited was for the Super Bowl in February, when Kelly and Michelle joined Beyonce for a portion of the halftime show. In January, the ladies released a compilation album with a new song called “Nuclear.” Kelly also added that Wiz Khalifa and Pharrell will also be featured on “Talk A Good Game,” due out on June 4th.
