Beyonce is sharing her admiration for the First Lady of the United States.

In a handwritten letter posted on her website, Beyonce.com, the pop diva describes Michelle Obama as the “ultimate example of a truly strong African American woman.” Beyonce goes on to note that no matter how much pressure she’s under, Michelle remains “humble, loving and sincere.”

The singer adds that she’s proud that her new daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, can “grow up in a world” where she has people like Michelle “to look up to.”

Beyonce has been making more of an effort lately to connect with fans via her website and social media.

She just recently revamped Beyonce.com, and last week she launched a Tumblr account and sent out her first tweet.
