Evin Cosby, the daughter of comedic actor and philanthropist Bill Cosby has spoken out to show her support of her father in the wake of mounting decades-old sexual assault allegations.

Here are the details….

Following her mother Camille Cosby’s statement released this Monday, daughter Evin Cosby has also released a brief statement to Access Hollywood in which she says “He is the FATHER you thought you knew. The Cosby Show was my today’s TV reality show. Thank you. That’s all I would like to say.”

Despite the short statement to this media outlet, there is a Facebook page of a woman who presents herself as Evin Cosby full of very strong and opinionated defense statements of her famous father, Bill. In a post that the Access Hollywood site says was made on the Facebook page, she discusses whether or not these various recollections of the alleged attacks are valid:

“Drugged- you can remember the whole damn day but you were drugged? Just sayin. Memory- you can remember you looked at (allegedly) each other, people were staring allegedly, remembering your home address allegedly, the name you called him allegedly but you were allegedly drugged.”

We were unable to locate the post on the page but Access Hollywood also claims that Evin talked about the seriousness of rape allegations and their affect on the page: “They [the accuser or accusers] are not ONLY destroying innocent people’s lives they are ALSO making it hard for the MEN and women to find justice when they have been raped.”

There is a post from December 10 from the page where the 38-year-old Cosby expresses gratitude to those who had been supportive of the Cosbys during this re-emergence of decades-old assault allegations: “I would like to thank EVERYONE that has been sharing, voicing and putting their beautiful positive energy out there for me and my family.” She also encouraged people to be happy in life and not to be the person who “sit[s] behind the computer waiting for bad things to happen to someone.” Furthermore, she said that “there will always be jealous, vengeful and crazy people out there to break anyone down” but that her family can “wake up and appreciate the love and support from everyone.”
