A death row inmate by the name of Richard Ray Parson has died of natural causes, before the state of California was able to murder him, themselves. Parsons was on death row for the murder of Theresa Schmiedt during a robbery in 1994. She was a nurse at convalescent home who was beaten to death with a claw hammer. Her purse, check card and bank card were stolen. She was the mother of an inmate Parson had met in prison. Since the death penalty was reinstated in 1978, California has only executed 13 prisoners, while 53 have died of disease, old age or other natural reasons while another 18 death row inmates have committed suicide. In total California has 713 inmates currently on death row. California’s last execution was in 2006, the victim being a inmate named Clarence Ray Allen. California’s executions have been at a stand still while federal judge assesses whether the lethal injection method is humane. This is crazy. What do you think really happened?
