Chad Ochocinco has been named the second-most influential personality on Twitter, based on data from the independent research company Twitalizer. The Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver was ranked second, behind the Brazilian comedian Rafinha Bastos.
Both were ranked ahead of President Barack Obama, teen sensation Justin Bieber, talk show titan Oprah Winfrey, former Alaska governor Sarah Palin and actor Charlie Sheen. Twitalizer doesn’t just track the number of followers a celebrity might have, it also records “mentions†and other criteria to determine which personalities are making real contributions to discussions.
As previously reported, the 33-year-old NFL athlete and fiancé of “Basketball Wives†star Evelyn Lozada just wrapped a five-day trial with Sporting Kansas City of Major League Soccer, and was awarded a spot on the team’s reserve squad.
