FreddyO loves the kids and I have this dope project that I want to share with you in celebration of Black History Month and the upcoming Women’s History Month staring two of my favorite little stars actresses Jaylin Simone and Jasmin Alyse. These little go getters decided to celebrate black history and actresses in an iconic way.
Check out the details below.
Actress Jaylin Simone, 11 and her sister Actress Jasmin Alyse, 6 wanted to do something on black actresses for a creative project. The young actresses on the rise, decided to pay homage to the women who keep them dreaming and working towards their goals of stardom with a black actress inspired pictorial recreation.
When asked about the iconic project Jaylin Simone had the following to say,
“We like to create projects and we decided we wanted to stand in the shoes of veteran black actresses. We want to someday be where they are so we began pulling pictures of women we admire. Our parents called some friends to help us and once we got past the scheduling issues we had a project on our hands.”
Students of North Metro Academy of Performing Arts, the sisters are active performers who have been featured in productions such as Annie Jr., the Comcast On Demand series Flags On The Field and more. Jasmin Alyse, the youngest, is a feature model for the Sean John Clothing line Enyce while big sister Jaylin Simone’s role as Candance in Flags On the Field is moving into its second season of production.
A list of admired actresses are below while pictures can be obtained by contacting the listed rep.
