This holiday season, Ciara and her Why Not You Foundation along with Amazon joined forces to bring holiday cheer to patients at Seattle Children’s Hospital. Ciara, musician Preston Pohl from The Voice, and Seattle Children’s chief executive officer, Dr. Jeff Sperring, welcomed everyone with open arms before singing holiday classics including “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree,” “Silent Night,” “Jingle Bell Rock” and “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer” to dozens of kids.
“Visiting Seattle Children’s is a family affair for us,” Ciara said as she greeted families. “And, visiting during the holidays and spending time with everyone here is truly one of my favorite times of the year.”
Following the group performance, Ciara and Preston took their caroling down the halls to visit kids who weren’t able to leave their rooms. In addition, Ciara was joined by a team from Amazon who donated and handed out hundreds of Echo Dot Kids Edition devices and Fire 7 tablets.
This marks Ciara’s second consecutive year surprising patients and their families at Seattle Children’s during the holiday season. Last year, Ciara was accompanied by GRAMMY Award-winning singer-songwriter, Kelly Rowland. The two sang Christmas tunes while wearing embroidered santa hats. Ciara and Russell Wilson are regular visitors to the hospital where they give and receive joy, happiness and inspiration throughout the year.
