The alleged drug kingpin at the center of deadly fighting in the capital of Jamaica may have fled the island nation. London’s “Telegraph” newspaper reports Jamaican officials are now uncertain as to the whereabouts of Christopher “Dudus” Coke, who was wanted for extradition to the U.S. on cocaine trafficking and other felony charges. Jamaican Information Minister Daryl Vaz told the newspaper, quote, “I could not say if (Coke) is in Jamaica. It’s very difficult to tell.” Click here to see more pic’s

Jamaican troops and police have been battling Coke’s gang members in Kingston since Sunday. Fifty people, mostly gang members, have been killed in the fighting to protect Coke’s headquarters in the Tivoli Gardens slum of the capital. As of late Wednesday, police and soldiers were going house to house searching for Coke and his cohorts.
