What better way to celebrate moms than with a makeover!
Atlanta’s very own Egypt Sherrod of V-103 recently celebrated Mother’s Day with ten deserving mothers from the metro Atlanta area at the 4th Annual Egypt’s Mommy Makeovers. The event was sponsored by Egypt’s foundation, The Egypt Cares Family Foundation.
The mothers were treated to new haircuts and styling, makeup applications, manis and pedis, and even a chance to work it on the red carpet with pictures from a professional photographer. To be nominated as a mommy in need of a makeover, someone had to send in a letter to the foundation to show why they deserve the day of pampering.
“We want to lift them up, empower them, and help them go through a transition as they enter a new chapter of their lives,” Egpyt stated.
The OMG Girlz and Tameka “Tiny” Harris were some of the celebrity faces present at the event, as well as Monyetta Shaw, Ne-Yo’s fiancé, who is also an entrepreneur and author. Sister 2 Sister magazine publisher Jamie Foster Brown was presented with the “Mompreneur of the Year” for her hard work with the publication, and her non-stop role of being a dedicated mommy.
