I am honored to be a judge for the 25th Annual Real Men Cook Atlanta event celebrating Father’s Day this Sunday, June 15th. David Banner is lending his celebrity along with a host of other civic leaders, musicians, and entrepreneurs around town.

Check out the details below.

You know how I love some good food and how I love to work with the community. Real Men Cook Atlanta merges these two loves in one event that will take place from 3-6pm at the Georgia World Congress Center. The centerpiece of the day’s activities include men from all walks of life who prepare sample size portions of their favorite dishes, ranging from appetizers, entrees, and desserts.

Diane Larche’, director of Real Men Cook-Atlanta has this to say about the tasty event,

“The day is a fun-filled food tasting celebration of men on Father’s Day. It is a great family-friendly event”

Only the Chicago group (which originated the event) has a larger attendance and draw compared to the Atlanta site.

Outside of sampling the tasty dishes there will be a health fair and a kids zone’ for interactive activity (featuring Home Depot). Multiple drawings and door prizes for a wide range of items, including the complete set of the HBO series “Game of Thrones”, an autographed Super Soaker by its creator, Dr. Lonnie Johnson, and a hotel stay in the Bahamas, are among the items available for drawing and auction. Cooking demonstrations, including (but not limited to) Bahamian Chef Daron Wilson; Chef Duane Nutter, executive chef, One Flew South;  Chef Idris Muhammad, executive chef, Neiman Marcus Café at Lenox Square Mall.  Guest hosts and speakers include: director/producer Rob Hardy (Criminal Minds, The Gospel),rapper/actor, David  Banner; Rick Joyner, The Rick Joyner Experience and Bobby Jones Gospel; Mikaya Milan Thurmond, WTVC Reporter/anchor; and Deidre Dukes, Weekend Anchor, Fox 5 TV. along with appearances by the Atlanta Hawks,
