The Enchanted Closet, Inc. will kick off its first Enchanting Lives Dress Drive of the year on Thursday, February 7th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The public is invited to network, donate, enjoy refreshments and design custom t-shirts in support of Atlanta’s undeserved teen girls. The organization teamed with Buckhead’s Tees and Quotes owner Frederick “FreddyO” Anderson to host the dress drive and mixer in an effort to collect prom dresses for its 11th Annual Prom Dress Giveaway this March.
“We are pleased to have the support of FreddyO for our first Enchanting Lives Prom Dress Drive event of 2013. We look forward to meeting new supporters and gaining additional community partners that will join us in enchanting the lives of metropolitan Atlanta girls this prom season,” says Bonita Johnson, Enchanted Closet president and CEO.
The following items needed for donation include:
- New or gently used formal dresses that are clean, in good condition and teen appropriate – especially sizes 0-6 and sizes 12 and above.
- Prom accessories such as jewelry, handbags, wraps and shoes.
- Donations of gift certificates for restaurants, florists, transportation, and hair and nail salons are also welcomed.
