The lovely First Lady of the United States Mrs. Michelle Obama is lending her celebrity alongside the homies Selena Gomez, Lea Michele and Zooey Deschanel to join Seventeen’s Girl Power Movement, which launched this past March as part of Seventeen’s 70th Anniversary.
Mrs. Obama created a Girl Power Tag Video for the Seventeen YouTube Channel sharing her thoughts on what Girl Power is and encouraging girls everywhere to join the movement.
According to Mrs. Obama,
“Girl Power is about being the very best version of who you are – and explains how a good education is truly powerful and helps one do all of these things. As she tells her own daughters, an education is “something no one can take away from you” and that is how you tap into your own girl power and achieve your dreams and become truly powerful.”
