Something fishy is going on in Atlanta schools. Just this past week the former Atlanta Superintendent Beverly Hall and 34 other former educators were indicted for lying about test scores. Read more inside to figure out why they lied about the test scores.
Beverly Hall went to court for racketeering, false statements, and theft when investigators found some of her bonuses were involved with the student’s test scores.
The former superintendent claims that she didn’t know about the cheating but things get sketchy when it shows that she retired just days before the investigation started in 2011. Students parents are pretty upset with one mother speaking out saying:
I have a 15-year-old now who is behind in achieving her goal of becoming what she wants to be when she graduates. It’s been hard trying to help her catch up.
It’s crazy to see what people will do for money.
Can you believe that this happened? What are your thoughts on this matter?
