Former Cash Money Records emcee Magnolia Shorty is dead. According to Billboard.com, Magnolia Shorty was part of a double homicide in New Orleans on Monday night. The female rapper and an unidentified male were both pronounced dead on the scene. Fellow Cash Money artist Lil Wayne responded to the news on Tuesday by tweeting, quote, “R.I.P to my big sister Magnolia Shorty…this is a krazy world.” Magnolia Shorty joined Cash Money Records in the 1990s. She was first featured on Juvenile’s 1997 song “3rd Ward Solja.”
