Ice Cube knows why Dr. Dre has yet to release his long-awaited “Detox” album. The rap icon was on the “Sway in the Morning” radio show this week where he blamed Dre’s Beats By Dre headphones for the record’s delay. Cube points out that Dr. Dre is getting 300 dollars for a pair of headphones, so why would he want to sell a record for ten dollars. Fans have been eagerly awaiting Dr. Dre’s “Detox” record for more than a decade. The album has been rumored to be on the way several times but, so far, has yet to surface. “Detox” appeared to be a real possibility in 2010 and early 2011 when Dre released the singles “Kush” and “I Need a Doctor.”
Dr. Dre’s last album was 1999’s “2001.” The record has sold more than seven-million copies in the U.S. alone.
