“American Idol” judges Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj deny there’s a feud between them. “Idol’s” new divas addressed the rumors at a recent press conference in New York. Carey questioned how the two could be fighting after only two days. She told reporters “I think a feud takes a little longer to spread out. It’s fun, it’s music, it’s singing, it’s laughter.”
Minaj seconded Carey, saying “We’re getting along wonderfully, darling.” “American Idol” veteran judge Randy Jackson also chimed in to assure reporters that all was well on the Idol set. He said that the judges are having a good time and a lot of laughs on set.
Rumors began to circulate Monday that the two were “at each other’s throats” after only one day of auditions. TMZ.com reported earlier that Carey had frequently interrupted the “Starships” singer as the “Idol” crew auditioned contestants in New York on Sunday. The 12th season of “American Idol” begins in January 2013.
