Iyanla Vanzant Tells Her Story On Oprah’s Super Soul Sunday

In an all new episode of “Super Soul Sunday,” Oprah Winfrey talks with inspirational TV host and best-selling author Iyanla Vanzant.  The two old friends are going to talk about her life’s journey and to give a glimpse of what’s to come on her new series, “Iyanla, Fix My Life.”  The intimate “Super Soul Sunday” interview “Oprah & Iyanla Vanzant: Soul-to-Soul” is set to air on September 16 at 11 a.m. ET/PT on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network.  See a preview of the show inside.

Vanzant is known for her  no-nonsense advice, but many don’t know her personal story. She was born into poverty and abuse, and Vanzant became a mother at sixteen.  She has survived her daughter’s tragic death from colon cancer, climbed out of debt and recovered from the brink of suicide.

Vanzant is the best-selling author of a total of 16 books, including the latest “Peace From Broken Pieces: How to Get Through What You’re Going Through,” and built a grassroots following by selling her books out of the back of her car, which eventually led to regular appearances on “The Oprah Winfrey Show.”

In a surprising and emotional one-on-one conversation with Winfrey, Vanzant opens up like never before and talks about her painful, but triumphant journey and how she has been able to transform her personal pain into profound spiritual life lessons that she intends to use to inspire millions.
