Jennifer Hudson has reached yet another milestone in her career. On Wednesday morning, the songstress received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for her accomplishments in the music industry.   Hudson unveiled the 2,512th star in the category of Recording at 6262 Hollywood Boulevard.  See more pics from the ceremony below!

Academy Award winner, former “American Idol” contestant, and Dreamgirl Jennifer Hudson posed proudly atop the star of the Hollywood Walk of Fame she received earlier today.   And looked white hot in Stella McCartney Resort 2014 while doing so.

Joined by her longtime fiance David Otunga and son David Jr., Jennifer tearfully accepted her honor and paid homage to her late mother saying:

“I’m sure my mom is in heaven like, ‘Jenny stop crying!’ But now’s the time to cry mama.”

Jennifer Hudson posed with family and fans during and long after the ceremony was over.
