Jermaine Jackson has filed a request to legally change his name. He would like to change the spelling from ‘Jackson‘ to ‘Jacksun.’
TMZ reports that Jermaine filed a petition to change the spelling of his last name with the LA County Superior Court. Yesterday he asked for the change in nomenclature. Jermaine stated in the documents that he would like to make the change for ‘artistic reasons.’ The request has not been approved by a judge and a hearing has been scheduled. Jermaine filed a petition for a change of name with L.A. Jermaine will be required to have his name change announced publicly several times in the next couple of months before it can be made official. A public announcement consists of having the name printed in a local publication. I guess if Chad Johnson can be Ochocinco and Ron Artest can be Metta World Peace, why not let Jermaine be a ‘Jacksun.’
