Lady GaGa is always put forth effort in not only her music but her efforts to spread peace and acceptance. She will be honored with the ‘LennonOn0Grant For Peace‘ on October 9th, Iceland.

As reported by ThatGrapeJuice, she is one of five activists to be honored. Gaga is to be honored the work she has done via the ‘Born This Way Foundation’, which is an organization set up to aid and provide a safe home for troubled teens.

On her work, Yoko Ono of ‘LennonOno‘ explained:

“Lady Gaga is one of the biggest living artists of our time. She is not only an artist, she is also an activist, using her art to bring better communication to the world.

 

 

She is being acknowledged for her activism, and how her album Born This Way has widely changed the mental map of the world. And how it has made us deal with the future world, which happens to be here already”

Lady GaGa is also looking to donate a grant to the ‘Elton John AIDS Foundation’, established by the ‘Rocket Man‘ in 1992.
