Lauryn Hill Thanks Alicia Keys, Stevie Wonder For Writing Letters to Judge

Alicia Keys and Stevie Wonder are among the people who reached out to a New Jersey judge on behalf of Lauryn Hill. Earlier this week, the former Fugee was sentenced to three months in jail for failing to pay taxes on three years’ worth of income. Hill pled guilty to the tax charges last year. On her Tumblr account, Hill extended “a sincere thank you” to 29 people who wrote letters to the judge in the case. Apart from Keys and Wonder, Hill also says Ruffhouse Records co-founder and CEO Chris Schwartz wrote a letter to the judge. The singer also thanks her family and friends for their support throughout her trial.
