All hail the King! LeBron James has been crowned the Best NBA Player, Male Athlete of The Year, and also snagged one with the Miami Heat for Best Championship Performance at the 2013 ESPY Awards. Get all the details inside…
The 21st ESPY Awards just kicked off in Los Angeles tonight, and already LeBron James copped two big awards. LBJ can officially say he is the best player in the NBA after taking home that award, and also snagging the trophy with the rest of the “Heatles” for Best Championship Performance. He was also crowned Male Athlete of the Year. Have several seats, haters.
LeBron, posing above with NY Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz, and teammates Dwyane Wade, Ray Allen, and Coach Spo of the Heat were also on hand to receive the Best Game award, for their Game 7 win over the Spurs in the NBA Finals. LeBron joked about holding on to the team trophy saying,
“This is for all four of us, man, but I’m just keeping it at my house.”
LeBron led the Heat to their 2nd consecutive championship this past season, also averaging about 25 points per game. Boo-yah.
The next thing on LeBron’s to-do list is simply to get married. The champ is finally getting hitched to his longtime love, Savannah Brinson, in a top-secret wedding this September. All he does is win, no matter what. Congratulations, King James!
