The big homie Lil Wayne is taking a lot of heat for his theatrics in his latest video “God Bless Amerika“. The homie is seen rapping and stepping on the United States flag at the same damn time. The video was shot in Weezy’s hometown New Orleans, Louisiana. Lil Wayne is standing in front a gigantic American flag it puts you in mind of a step and repeat while he raps animatedly on the American Flag.

Lil Wayne took to Facebook to answer his critics about the Video and the Lyrics:

“In most people eyes including my own who were raised in that environment, the  Hood is the only America they know and the only America I knew growing up,” he  said. “I was fortunate from my God giving talents to escape the Hood and see the  other beautiful places this country has to offer but most people who are born in  that environment don’t get that chance. That’s their view of their America. That  was Dwayne M Carter from Hollygrove New Orleans view of America. That’s who I’m  speaking for in this song.”

We think Lil Wayne is a brilliant business man who knows how to keep his name on our lips. Let the controversy begin. Lil Wayne has had a full year of controversy the first being the Emmett Till lyrics and now he has the Daugthers of the American Revolution up in arms. Who you going to offend next big homie?
