Atlanta’s V-103’s own Ryan Cameron Morning Show with Wanda Smith sat down with Jomo Hankerson (Aaliyah’s cousin and president of her label, Blackground Records). Ryan and Wanda got down to the nitty-gritty about Aaliyah’s family thoughts about the Lifetime’s biopic and Zendaya Coleman.

In his first radio interview, Jomo Hankerson (Aaliyah’s cousin and President of her label, Blackground Records) sat down for an exclusive interview with The Ryan Cameron Morning Show with Wanda Smith on V103 radio in Atlanta.  He says he feels that Zoe Saldana should play Aaliyah. He says that he feels bad for Zendaya Coleman because all she is trying to do is get a job and that Aaliyah had a similar experience.

The family’s biggest issue is that Lifetime is doing this on the small screen when this should be on the big screen AND that they don’t know the whole story so they can’t tell Aaliyah’s story accurately.

It should be very interesting to see how the Lifetime biopic plays out.
