LL Cool J To Host Grammys, First Host In 7 Years

After seven years without a host, Grammy organizers have found one in the name of LL Cool J.  The rapper and “NCIS: Los Angeles” star has been tapped to host next month’s ceremony.  It will mark the first time in seven years that the Grammys will have an official host.  LL says he’s “thrilled” to be part of music’s biggest night, adding that he’s looking forward to great performances and great music.  The hip-hop vet hosted CBS’ Grammy nominations concert event last November in a role he has held since the show’s inception in 2008.

LL joins previously-announced performers and Grammy nominees Jason Aldean, Kelly Clarkson, Foo Fighters, Bruno Mars, Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift on the list of artists who will appear on the February 12th Grammy telecast.  CBS will air the ceremony live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, starting at 8:00 pm Eastern.
