Mary J. Blige will be performing a soulful rendention of the national anthem tonight for the season opener between St. Louis Cardinals and the Boston Red Sox. The Grammy winning song bird will be performing live and in living color at the Boston Red Sox, Fenway Park, and will be broadcast live on Fox at 7:30 p.m. Eastern.
This won’t be Mary’s first time performing the “Star-Spangled Banner” at the World Series. She previously performed the national anthem during the 2009 World Series at New York’s Yankee Stadium.
Blige recently released her first holiday album, titled “A Mary Christmas.”
