Mike Epps To Host BET Hip-Hop Awards + BET Reveals Nominees For 2011 Hip-Hop Awards

Comedian Mike Epps will return to host the BET Hip-Hop Awards for a third year. I hope this year BET awards is the best. Busta Rhymes was the first artist to win the award for Best Live Performer, and is nominated again in 2011. Busta says his respect for the audience helps make him the entertainer he is today. Busta Rhymes is up for a total of six nominations at next month’s ceremony, thanks in large part to his verse on Chris Brown’s hit single “Look At Me Now.” Lil Wayne leads all nominees this year, with a record-breaking 18 nods.

Weezy will look to claim titles like Best Live Performer, Lyricist of the Year, MVP of the Year, and Hustler of the Year. Kanye West and Wiz Khalifa each have nine nominations, Both are nominated in categories like Verizon People’s Champ Award and MVP of the Year. It could also be a big night for Miami rapper Rick Ross with eight nominations.

The ceremony will be taped on October 1st at the Boisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center. The 2011 BET Hip-Hop Awards will then air Tuesday, October 11th at 8:00 p.m. Eastern.
