More than 13,000 fans came out last night to the United Center in Chicago last night for the final farewell taping of The Oprah Winfrey Show. For 25 years Oprah has been a staple in daytime television so it was only fitting that she went out with a star studded finale. Among the list of celebrities to show up was Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, Beyonce, Halle Berry, Queen Latifah, Katie Holmes, Dakota Fanning, Michael Jordan and Diane Sawyer. There were performances by Beyonce, Jamie Foxx, Stevie Wonder, and Patti LaBelle.

Though most of the details are still being kept tight lipped. We can tell you that Oprah’s final shows are set to be filled with tons of surprises, even though the Queen of Talk is said to hate surprises. But this final week….she allowed her producers to control what happens. Oprah’s charity work was showcased, as celebrities reflected on her influence. “She fights for things she believes in, even if it makes her unpopular,” Madonna said. “You always had the power, and that is the message you brought into our lives,” said Cruise — who we appreciate for not jumping on the couch.
