Pharrel Hosts Qream Liqueur Party At The New York Public Library

Pharrel has been everywhere promoting his new business venture, Qream Liqueur. He already had a party in Los Angeles and this past week he held a party in New York at one of the most random places….the New York Public Library.

A lot of big star names came out to party with him like Q-Tip, Swizz Beatz, Selita Eubanks, Tyson Beckford, and even Basketball wife Meeka.

Sources say that he turned the historic library into a pink and gold wonderland. Check out more celebs who attended the bash in the gallery below.

He was told, inreply, that the hairs and the butter came from one source–the cow;and that the just and natural proportions hitherto observed, couldnot be deranged, and bald butter invented–for ONE. ‘So be it,’said the Englishman; ‘but let me have the butter in one plate, andthe hairs in another.’"Acting on this hint, I have reserved some admirable remarks, reflections, discourses, and tirades, until the story should beended, and the other plate be ready for the subsidiary sermon. And now that the proper time is come, that love of intruding one’sown wisdom in one’s own person on the reader, which has marred somany works of art, is in my case restrained–first, by pure fatigue;secondly, because the moral of this particular story stands out soclear in the narrative, that he who runs may read it without anysermon at all. Those who will not take the trouble to gather my moral from theliving tree, would not lift it out of my dead basket: would notunlock their jaw-bones to bite it, were I to thrust it into theirvery mouths.TheEndIf Peshawar was the city that reminded me of what Kabul used to be, then Islamabad was the city Kabul could have become someday. The streets were wider than Peshawar’s, cleaner, and lined with rows of hibiscus and flame trees. The bazaars were more organized and not nearly as clogged with rickshaws and pedestrians. The architecture was more elegant too, more modern, and I saw parks where roses and jasmine bloomed in the shadows of trees.Fa

Everybody in the house, fromthe lowest to the highest, showed me such a bright face of welcome, and spoke so cheerily, and was so happy to do anything for me, thatI suppose there never was such a fortunate little creature in theworld. We got into such a chatty state that night, through Ada and myguardian drawing me out to tell them all about Caddy, that I wenton prose, prose, prosing for a length of time. At last I got up tomy own room, quite red to think how I had been holding forth, andthen I heard a soft tap at my door. So I said, "Come in!" andthere came in a pretty little girl, neatly dressed in mourning, whodropped a curtsy."If you please, miss," said the little girl in a soft voice, "I amCharley.""Why, so you are," said I, stooping down in astonishment and givingher a kiss. "How glad am I to see you, Charley!""If you please, miss," pursued Charley in the same soft voice, "I’myour maid.""Charley?""If you please, miss, I’m a present to you, with Mr. Jarndyce’slove."I sat down with my hand on Charley’s neck and looked at Charley."And oh, miss," says Charley, clapping her hands, with the tearsstarting down her dimpled cheeks, "Tom’s at school, if you please, and learning so good! According to this explanation from a Gallup pollster, respondents are rated on the basis of their answers to certain questions. In a year like this, when many voters seem uninspired by either candidate, there锟斤拷s a big likelihood that many will opt to stay home in protest.Another interesting phenomenon: Screening for likely voters tends to improve prospects for Republican candidates, due to better turnout. The results have some commentators wondering why CNN would even bother to do a registered-voter poll this close to the election, when likely-voter polls are considered much more accurate. But perhaps the results point to at least one window of opportunity for embattled Democratic candidates in these states: Now they have to somehow find a way to inspire those backers who, at this point, are planning to stay home. But the polls, conducted by CNN/Time, survey registered voters rather than likely voters, and may not give an accurate picture. In Florida’s Senate race, for instance, the new numbers give Republican candidate Marco Rubio only a tiny edge over Independent Charlie Crist (36 percent to 34 percent, with Democrat Kendrick Meek coming in at 24 percent). But another new Sunshine State poll, of likely voters, gives Mr. Rubio a double-digit lead over Mr. Crist. Even worse news for Crist: More Democrats 锟紺 whose support would be crucial to his election 锟紺 seem to be backing Mr. Meek. Both Crist and

Well, if I was in the way sometimes, I paid dearly for my mistakes. And besides, who is perfect? (My head is one sore!) Dear Monsieur Eugene, I am suffering so now, that a man might die of the pain; but it is nothing to be compared with the pain I endured when Anastasie made me feel, for the first time, that I had said something stupid. She looked at me, and that glance of hers opened all my veins. I used to want to know everything, to be learned; and one thing I did learn thoroughly –I knew that I was not wanted here on earth."The next day I went to Delphine for comfort, and what should I do there but make some stupid blunder that made her angry with me. I was like one driven out of his senses. For a week I did not know what to do; I did not dare to go to see them for fear they should reproach me. And that was how they both turned me out of the house."Oh God! Thou knowest all the misery and anguish that I have endured; Thou hast counted all the wounds that have been dealt to me in these years that have aged and changed me and whitened my hair and drained my life; why dost Thou make me to suffer so today? Have I not more than expiated the sin of loving them too much? They themselves have been the instruments of vengeance; they have tortured me for my sin of affection."Ah, well! fathers know no better; I loved th

The TSE must resolve the appeal of Ms. Torres and her party, the National Unity of Hope (UNE), within the next 72 hours and then the case will most likely move to the Constitutional Court for a final decision. As I said in April, there didn’t really seem to be any good reason why the country’s courts would not grant the Coloms their divorce. However, having the electoral authorities accept the divorce and allow her to run for the presidency was going to be another matter.Think you know South America? Take our geography quiz! Then there’s the question of what to do if Torres’ candidacy is rejected again by the TSE and then finally by the Constitutional Court. Congressman Christian Boussinot (UNE) acknowledged that Mr. Colom’s ruling National Unity of Hope party lacked a viable candidate to stand in the September 11 elections. "We do not have a Plan B," he said, noting the party’s executive committee planned to appeal the ruling. (AFP) A few months ago I argued that Torres and Colom’s

The desire to live, the heroic idea of work, alone survived in him, carrying him onward bodily. He faltered hoarsely:"No, no–out there, out there–"His friend was obliged to support him, and he walked thus, stumbling and haggard, to the end of the workroom, and dropped into his chair beside his table, on which an unfinished page still lay among a confusion of papers and books. Here he gasped for breath and his eyes closed. After a moment he opened them again, while his hands groped about, seeking his work, no doubt. They encountered the genealogical tree in the midst of other papers scattered about. Only two days before he had corrected some dates in it. He recognized it, and drawing it toward him, spread it out."Master, master! you will kill yourself!" cried Ramond, overcome with pity and admiration at this extraordinary spectacle.Pascal did not listen, did not hear. He felt a pencil under his fingers. He took it and bent over the tree, as if his dying eyes no longer saw. The name of Maxime arrested his attention, and he wrote: "Died of ataxia in 1873," in the certainty that his nephew would not live through the year. Then Clotilde’s name, beside it, struck him and he completed the note thus: "Has a son, by her Uncle Pascal, in 1874." But it was his own name that he sought wearily and confusedly. When h

The amount of the first obligation,’ here Mr. Micawber carefully referred to papers, ‘was, I believe, twenty-three, four, nine and a half, of the second, according to my entry of that transaction, eighteen, six, two. These sums, united, make a total, if my calculation is correct, amounting to forty-one, ten, eleven and a half. My friend Copperfield will perhaps do me the favour to check that total?’ I did so and found it correct. ‘To leave this metropolis,’ said Mr. Micawber, ‘and my friend Mr. Thomas Traddles, without acquitting myself of the pecuniary part of this obligation, would weigh upon my mind to an insupportable extent. I have, therefore, prepared for my friend Mr. Thomas Traddles, and I now hold in my hand, a document, which accomplishes the desired object. I beg to hand to my friend Mr. Thomas Traddles my I.O.U. for forty-one, ten, eleven and a half, and I am happy to recover my moral dignity, and to know that I can once more walk erect before my fellow man!’ With this introduction (which greatly affected him), Mr. Micawber placed his I.O.U. in the hands of Traddles, and said he wished him well in every relation of life. I am persuaded, not only that this was quite the same to Mr. Micawber as paying the money, but that Traddles himself hardly knew the difference until he had had time to think about it. Philemon, thou art in thy grave, sleeping sweetly at last by thy deeply idolised one, but these marks of feeling still remain indissolubly connected with the words that gave them birth.DEAR PHILEMON:You are gone for a day and a night only, but it seems a lengthened absence to me, meriting a little letter. You have been so good to me, Philemon, ever since that dreadful hour following our marriage, that sometimes — I hardly dare yet to say always — I feel that I am beginning to love you and that God did not deal with me so harshly when He cast me into your arms. Yesterday I tried to tell you this when you almost kissed me at parting. But I was afraid it was a momentary sentimentality and so kept still. But to-day such a warm well-spring of joy rises in my heart when I think that to-morrow the house will be bright again, and that in place of the empty wall opposite me at table I shall see your kindly and forbearing face, I know that the heart I had thought impregnable has begun to yield, and that daily gentleness, and a boundless consideration from one who had excuse for bitter thoughts and recrimination, are doing what all of us thought impossible a few short months ago.Oh, I am so happy, Philemon, so happy to love where it is now my duty to love; and if it were not for that dreadful memory of a father dying with harsh words in his ears

"You may be sure, my dear Monsieur Froment, that I feel much honoured by your visit. Naturally I cannot tell you what my report will be; as it is, we have talked too much about it, and, in fact, I ought to have refused to listen to your defence. At the same time, you will always find me ready to be of service to you in anything that does not go against my duty. But I greatly fear that your book will be condemned." And then, as Pierre again started, he added: "Well, yes. It is facts that are judged, you know, not intentions. So all defence is useless; the book is there, and we take it such as it is. However much you may try to explain it, you cannot alter it. And this is why the Congregation never calls the accused parties before it, and never accepts from them aught but retraction pure and simple. And, indeed, the wisest course would be for you to withdraw your book and make your submission. No? You won’t? Ah! how young you are, my friend!"He laughed yet more loudly at the gesture of revolt, of indomitable pride which had just escaped his young friend, as he called him. Then, on reaching the door, he again threw off some of his reserve, and said in a low voice, "Come, my dear Abbe, there is something I will do for you. I will give you some good advice. He was looking over him at the vast heaving trouble of Russia, which now was like a sea that tumbles under the hurrying darknesses of an approaching storm. In those days it looked as though it must be an overwhelming storm. He was drinking in the wide and massive Russian effects, the drifting crowds in the entangling streets, the houses with their strange lettering in black and gold, the innumerable barbaric churches, the wildly driven droshkys, the sombre red fortress of the Kremlin, with its bulbous churches clustering up into the sky, the crosses, the innumerable gold crosses, the mad church of St. Basil, carrying the Russian note beyond the pitch of permissible caricature, and in this setting the obscure drama of clustering, staring, sash-wearing peasants, long-haired students, sane-eyed women, a thousand varieties of uniform, a running and galloping to and fro of messengers, a flutter of little papers, whispers, shouts, shots, a drama elusive and portentous, a gathering of forces, an accumulation of tension going on to a perpetual clash and clamour of bells. Asian revolution in the past has not been solely military or material. It has also been intellectual, psychological and political. We need to agree upon an analysis of the sources of Communist strength in China, as well as in Korea. We must then envisage more fully the rôle which the American people could play in Asia, if they would, in competition with the Russian influence. How can we relate ourselves more constructively to the forces of social change? How can we forestall the Communist capture and use of these forces for the ends of Communist power? My own conclusion is that the effort to ally ourselves with "nationalism" in Asia and to use it as a bulwark against Communism is a will-o'-the-wisp unless we combine "nationalism" with "reform" in a very specific and sophisticated manner. In the final analysis, "reform" is the more fundamental force. The effort to comprehend the nature of the revolutionary process in Asia is the most pressing necessity in our current mobilization.II. It was now clear that Salander would definitely go to trial. Ekstr?m had brought a charge for grievous bodily harm in the case of Magge Lundin, and grievous bodily harm or attempted murder in the case of Karl Axel Bodin. No date had yet been set, but his colleagues had learned that Ekstr?m was planning for a trial in July, depending on the state of Salander’s health. Blomkvist understood the reasoning. A trial during the peak holiday season would attract less attention than one at any other time of the year. Blomkvist’s plan was to have the book printed and ready to distribute on the first day of the trial. He and Malm had thought of a paperback edition, shrink-wrapped and sent out with the special summer issue. Various assignments had been given to Cortez and Eriksson, who were to produce articles on the history of the Security Police, the IB affair,* and the like. He frowned as he stared out of the window. It’s not over. The conspiracy is continuing. It’s the only way to explain the tapped telephones, the attack on Annika, and the double theft of the Salander report. Perhaps the murder of Zalachenko is a part of it too. But he had no evidence. Together with Eriksson and Malm, he had decided that Millennium Publishing would publish Svensson’s text about sex trafficking, also to coincide with the trial. It was better
