Last night I had the opportunity to kick it with some of Atlanta’s biggest and brightest stars at the Meet the Black Celebrity Break Out. The event was truly star-studded as guests had the opportunity to learn about the hot new film coming to a theater near you called “Meet the Blacks” starring comedians Mike Epps and Atlanta’s own Lil Duval about moving on up to a new life in Beverly Hills. It sounds like an URBAN Beverly Hillbillies…

In theaters today is a funny new comedy called “Meet the Blacks“. The film is about the Black family who is getting out of Chicago in hopes of a better life. After Carl Black (Mike Epps) recently came into some unexpected fund$. Carl takes his family and leaves the hustling lifestyle behind for something better. Carl, his wife Lorena (Zulay Henao), son Carl Jr., daughter Allie Black (Bresha Webb) and cousin Cronut (Lil Duval) pack up and move to Beverly Hills.

Turns out, Carl couldn’t have picked a worse time to move. They arrive right around the time of the annual purge, when all crime is legal for twelve hours.

Lil Duval hosted the celebrity Black Out in Atlanta at a private location. Guests got the opportunity to have fun and interact with one another and learn all about the film in theaters. The event was truly star-studded including the following guests:
