The home girl Towanda Braxton threw an epic 40th birthday party at the Compound. Towanda recreated School Daze for her family, friends, and media friends.
Check out the details below.Towanda Braxton turned 40 in a very big way. My home girl decided to recreate one of her favorite movies ‘School Daze’. Towanda with the help of Chef Ashley recreated Spike Lee’s cult classic at The Compound. The lovely singer/reality star/entrepreneur bought the Compound out. She enlisted Tri Cities High School Band Program, Cheerleaders, and Step Team to recreate her very own Towanda University which included it’s very own football field, and Greek Plots.
Towanda made her grand appearance by jumping out of a huge bass drum. Towanda brought in Tina Fears and the New School Wannabees and the Jigaboos to recreate the tension between the two classes of chicks found in the movie.
Towanda brought in all of the Greeks to stroll and step. The lovely ladies of Zeta Phi Beta serenaded Towanda who’s a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta. Phi Beta Sigma even performed for their lovely Soror.
I got a chance to kick it with my phrat brothers from Georgia State University’s Zeta Phi Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
After that Towanda invited her close friends and lovely sisters Traci and Trina on stage to do a little karaoke. The evening ended with cake, candy, and cookies. I tell you my girl Towanda can really throw a party.
Towanda rolled out the blue carpet for her guests. The party included her sisters, their husbands, and her mother and father. The Braxton clan flew in to party with Towanda.
The lovely birthday girl spent some real money on her event. We heard from a very good source that she dropped nearly $100,000 on the party. That’s a lot of money Towanda! I had a good time so it’s all good.
Special Shoutout to my friends over at Eat Heavenly Cupcakes for donating the tasty treats. I enjoyed those cupcakes so much.
Check out the photos below:
bought out the club that included Tri Cities Marching Band, Dance Teams, Cheerleaders, and Step Team.
What happened to Nivea??? And what’s up with Kendra G from V-103, please have several seats.
man why aren’t I getting invited to parties like this haha
Freddy, Towanda is not a Delta, she is a member of Zeta Phi Beta. is a name for women who are the member of the same sorority. So Towanda’s sorors are the Zetas. She can not be a soror to a fraternity (Phi Beta Sigma) as you stated.
as a matter of fact, both towanda and traci are members of zeta phi beta. if she was serenaded, it would have been by her “sorors” (sisters) of Zeta, not Delta Sigma Theta.
@JAZZI — I WAS THINKING THE EXACT SAME THING. OH LAWD IT SEEMS NIVEA HAD A BREAK DOWN AFTER LIL WAYNE. SHE LOOKS A HOT MESS!!!! SMH!!! AND KENDRA G IS PRETTY WITH A NICE BODY BUT ALL OF THAT WEAVE HAS ATE HER HAIRLINE UP!!! SHE IS STARTING TO LOOK LIKE STEVIE WONDER’S OR ESSENCE’S SUSAN TAYLOR’S DAUGHTER WITH THAT HUGE FOREHEAD. CAN U SAY NEED A BANG AT THIS POINT. LET IT GO GIRLFRIEND, LET IT GO!!!………JENNY JONES!!!
@oleschooler, thank you for pointing out that Towanda is a Zeta. However, your comment that she is not a Soror to a Sigma is incorrect. The Sigmas and Zetas are bound by their respective Constitutions. Therefore, they are Frat and Sorors to each other.
Yes the zetas and sigmas consider themselves bros and sis but no sigma refers to a zeta as his soror. I’ve been Greek for 25 years and never heard a frat call their “sis” sorority their sorors. Guess the neos do that.
What I am saying is yes they are frat and soror but in conversing to the public, you rarely hear a zeta say that is my frat brother or a sigma say that is my soror. They usually just say sister or brother. The reason being is that zeta and sigma are the only two of the greeks that have true frat/soror relations in their constitutions. Because of this, when conversing with others outside of their organizations, they refer to each other and bro and sister because most Greeks would find them doing otherwise as confusing.
Next on the I’m broke list is……
Actually, OleSchooler, I am a member of Zeta Phi Beta and we do in fact refer to Sigmas as our frat and they refer to us as soror. They mean the exact same thing as sister and brother in greek and since we are the only constitutionally bound sorority and fraternity we consider it a right and a privilege to call each other “frat” and “soror” while out and about. Now it may be different in other areas, but as far as I have noted travelling to different areas, we greet each other as “frat” and “soror” and or “bruh” and “sis”/”brother” or “sister”.
