VH1 is giving Queen Latifah’s upcoming “Single Ladies” film a big vote of confidence. The network is creating a scripted series based on the movie which won’t be released until next year. Queen Latifah says she’s very excited to partner with VH1 stating, quote, “I think ‘Single Ladies’ will really fill a hole in what is needed on television today.” “Single Ladies” will star Stacey Dash, LisaRaye McCoy and Charity Shea as three friends, living in Atlanta, who have different views on sex and relationships. Executive produced by Latifah, the “Single Ladies” film is expected to debut next summer. The VH1 series will also launch around the same time.

Queen Latifah will be back on the big screen early next year when she stars alongside Vince Vaughn, Kevin James, and Jennifer Connelly in “The Dilemma.” The film will arrive in theaters on January 14th.
