Quentin Tarantino Drops “N-Word” Backstage At Golden Globes

70th Annual Golden Globe Awards - Show

Quentin Tarantino reportedly brought silence and a few gasps backstage at Sunday night’s Golden Globe Awards after dropping the N-Word during an exchange with reporters. The filmmaker was addressing the ongoing conversation about the 100-plus times the racially-charged word is used in his slave revenge drama “Django Unchained.”

According to “The Hollywood Reporter,” Tarantino told reporters anything less would compromise the artistic integrity of the characters in his movie, which is set in the South in the 1860’s. He said he would never cave to critics, telling reporters he believes in what he’s doing wholeheartedly and passionately. Tarantino also used his backstage platform to point out that slavery is still happening around the world and in the United States. He said the U.S. legal system is biased against African-Americans, citing drug laws he says are putting many black males in jails.

tarantino2 Tarantino’s heated exchange with a British reporter made the rounds online last week after he refused to answer a question about the violence in his movies. The filmmaker told the reporter he was not his “slave” or “a monkey” and therefore did not have to answer his question. Tarantino’s “Django Unchained” stars Jamie Foxx and Christoph Waltz, who won a Best Supporting actor award at Sunday night’s Golden Globes. Tarantino was also awarded the Golden Globe for Best Original Screenplay.

The man is right… Slavery is still there..just done in a different way now like he said..the jail system is designed to capture mostly the black man which makes the black woman work harder. Domino effect, plus mental damage done to the children. Spike Lee might actually need to see the freakin movie. Might get inspired. Plus these children NEED to know whay happened bck then.

Also.. Y is everybody talking about how many times the N word wad used? I dont see nobody counting how many times the word is used in all these other movies out here.. Stop picking on this man. I was happy to see Jamie Foxx, (Django) kill all those evil people. This movie just told the truth on how our ancestors were horribly treated. All because of jealously and hatred.
