Rachel Jeantel the Witness to Trayvon Martin’s Murder Takes the STAND

Yesterday was mentally exhausting watching Trayvon Martin’s friend Rachel Jeantel recount the events that lead up to his untimely and sensless death.

Check it out!

“He was being followed,” Rachel Jeantel told the court.

She also said that the last words she heard of her friend were “Get off! Get off!” before the phone went silent.

Rachel told the world on Wednesday that Trayvon said “a creepy-ass cracker” was following him and that he tried to get away from him. Rachel told Trayvon to RUN and try to get away from him.

Martin said Zimmerman was behind him and she heard Martin ask: “What are you following me for?”

In one account, according to West, she said Zimmerman responds, “What are you doing around here?” In another account, according to West, she says Zimmerman said, “What are you talking about?”

She then heard what sounded like Martin’s phone earpiece dropping into wet grass, and she heard him say, “Get off! Get off!” The phone then went dead, she said.

It was a very intense day in court on yesterday.

Zimmerman, 29, could get life in prison if convicted of second-degree murder. Zimmerman followed Martin in his truck and called a police dispatch number before he and the teen got into a fight.

Zimmerman has said he opened fire only after the teenager jumped him and began slamming his head against the concrete sidewalk. Zimmerman identifies himself as Hispanic and has denied the confrontation had anything to do with race, as Martin’s family and their supporters have claimed.

Wow, this is so sad to watch unfold. Let’s keep Rachel Jeantel and the Martin family in our thoughts and prayers!

  1. I watched this yesterday on youtube, she should have never took the stand and I don’t understand why our court system take over a year for a trial by that time information or memory begin to deplete as she showed on the stance.. BUT I wish the best to Trayvon family I hope justice is served.

  2. It is so sad that things like these have to happen in the AGE OF ENLIGHTENMENT .Seems as though we have regressed .It appears as though people cannot even walk where they wish .Is this what this is all about ?
It is a pity that such a case has been delayed for so long .I guess its because there are so many other cases to be dealt with .This is really sad .
