Rihanna and Frank Ocean are now set to join the list of performers at the 2012 Video Music Awards. The two will be jioning artists like Taylor Swift, Alicia Keys, Green Day, Pink and One Direction in this year’s performance lineup to be held Sept. 6 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles as reported by EURWeb.

The performance on the VMA’s is not only a big one for Frank Ocean but this is also his debut after releasing his debut album “Channel Orange” earlier this year. Rihanna, meanwhile, leads the contenders with five nominations, tying collaborator Drake for the most nods this year.  Voting is now open for all categories.

There have also been some adjustments to the list of presenters as well. Some of the additions include the likes of Brit boy band The Wanted, “Celeste and Jesse Forever” stars Andy Samberg and Rashida Jones, as well as Ke$ha and 2 Chainz.
