Chris Brown apparently has an ally in comedienne Rosie O’Donnell. During Monday’s broadcast of her Sirius XM show, O’Donnell said that Brown is being held “to a different standard than anyone else.” O’Donnell also said there was a racial element to some of the negative press Brown has received, noting that he probably felt more comfortable speaking with Robin Roberts during his now infamous “Good Morning America” interview. O’Donnell continued to defend the singer following her show, telling fans on Twitter, quote,
“He was held accountable – he did his service – the judge commended him – he grew up in a violent home – he is only 21.”
Chris Brown was arrested in 2009 for assaulting his then-girlfriend Rihanna following a pre-GRAMMY party. He eventually pleaded guilty to felony assault and was sentenced to five years of probation. The incident brought Brown back into the headlines last month, when Robin Roberts asked him about the assault during an appearance on “Good Morning America.” Brown didn’t appreciate the questions, and following his interview he reportedly broke a window in his dressing room.
i agree, he’s 21 still young and still has to learn and he grew up in a violent home which i’m not giving it an excuse for what he did, but give the guy a break and not ruined his career or his personal life because he’s still has a lot to learn and let him learn it on his own without the media on his back 24hrs and giving him bad press.
wow you are a super woman thanks for telling the truth
