Fans can own some of Kanye West‘s fancy footwear. The charitable organization RE/CREATE is auctioning off an autographed pair of West’s exclusive Nike Air Yeezy 2 shoes. Proceeds from the sale will go to the organization New York Cares, which is helping to rebuild parts of New York destroyed by Hurricane Sandy in October.
According to Hiphopwired.com, when Nike launched Kanye’s line of shoes last June, they were highly demanded, with pairs reportedly selling on the street for thousands of dollars. Fans can place their bid for the autographed kicks at RecreateNewYork.org.
Last month Kanye helped Sandy relief efforts by performing a set at the 12.12.12 Concert for Sandy Relief.
