At age 53, “X Factor” producer and judge Simon Cowell is reportedly about to become a first-time father. Sources say the British personality is expecting his first child with 36-year-old New York socialite Lauren Silverman who is married to Cowell’s close friend, real estate mogul Andrew Silverman. A source tells People.com the Silvermans have filed for divorce.
Cowell’s U.K. rep calls the situation a “very sensitive issue,” adding that all media inquiries were being dealt with by Cowell’s U.S. attorney. Cowell was last linked to actress Carmen Electra. The couple went public with their relationship in December 2012 only to confirm their split a few short months later in February of this year.
