Spain has won the 2010 FIFA World Cup of soccer. The Spaniards knocked off the Netherlands 1-0 in overtime at Soccer City Stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa, to capture their first World Cup title. Andres Iniesta scored a goal in the 26th minute of extra time to give Spain the victory after a scoreless first 90 minutes. Spain is now the eighth nation to claim the World Cup, while the Netherlands has appeared in three World Cup finals without a victory.
