Numerous news outlets are reporting that Marion “Suge” Knight, former CEO and co-founder of the infamous Death Row Records, turned himself in early Friday morning after striking and killing a man with his vehicle.

Marion “Suge” Knight is currently being held on $2 million bail after he turned himself in following Thursday’s fatal car accident in Compton where he was reported as the driver of the vehicle that struck and killed Terry Carter. Carter was reportedly a friend of Knight’s who just happened to be behind the car when Knight tried to flee the scene of an altercation that apparently broke out on the set of the upcoming N.W.A. biopic “Straight Outta Compton.” Apparently, security for the film had asked Knight to leave, which may have escalated the already tense situation.

TMZ reports that Knight was “formally arrested…on murder charges” and sources told them that “one of the critical factors is that witnesses claim Suge threw his car in reverse once, and then a second time … and they believe he intended to hit one of the people with whom he was fighting.” Furthermore, the site reports that there were 3 men struck by Knight’s vehicle and the truck had been “abandoned in a parking lot in the Westwood section of L.A.” The other two men reportedly do not have life-threatening injuries but as of this posting, both are still in the hospital.

Obviously, this is a developing story and more details will emerge. We will keep you updated on this.
