In a statement to “Rolling Stone,” Hank’s bandmates Wonder Mike and Master Gee said it was “so sad” to learn about Hank’s passing. They also remembered how the three of them made “musical history” with the release of the 1979 hit “Rapper’s Delight.” Furthermore, the two looked back on fond memories of traveling the world and “rocking the house” with Hank. The rap legend was also mourned on social media by fellow hip-hop artists such as Juicy J, Q-Tip, Lil Jon and Questlove.
