T.I. is speaking out about Boston bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev’s [[ Tamer-lin Zar-nay-ahv ]] alleged connection to the hip-hop website Real-hiphop.com. Last week, TMZ reported that Tsarnaev had an email account associated with the website, which featured a picture of T.I. Now, Tip tells the celebrity gossip site that he has no affiliation with the website.
T.I. also points out that hip-hop is not about “hurting innocent people.” Even though hip-hop music sometimes contains violent lyrics, T.I. says the music merely “narrates the activity and conditions” of urban culture and does not create those conditions. Tip calls the Boston bombing a “horrible tragedy” and sends his prayers to the victims and their families.
