Rapper T.I. is the latest artist to speak out about the controversial acquittal of the man who shot and killed Florida teen Trayvon Martin. He tells Charlotte’s Power 98 radio that the verdict is “just another harsh reminder of the world that we live in.” The rapper also praised Trayvon Martin’s family for keeping their cool. “Tip” says if he were in their shoes he would have taken matters into his own hands, adding that he’d “have been on trial” instead of Zimmerman. He says members of the Martin family are “much more clear and level-headed thinkers” than himself.
T.I. is currently on the road as part of Lil Wayne’s “America’s Most Wanted Music Festival.” In the coming days, the traveling music fest is set to make stops in Washington D.C., Saratoga Springs, and Boston.
